Meishan Conservation
At CCR, our mission is to help the Meishan pig out of threatened status by creating a market in Colorado. Meishan meat is an incomparable combination of tenderness, succulence and flavor. Meishan's produce an intensely micro-marbled red meat pork. Throughout East Asia, Meishan is a delicacy, and considered the “Kobe Beef” of pork.
Sustainable Farming
We believe that sustainable farming practices are essential for the health of our planet and our customers. We understand that not everyone has the resources to be able to raise their own food. At CCR we give everyone the opportunity to do just that.
Agriculture Education
We provide school visits in Colorado Springs and surrounding areas to inspire the next generation of farmers and ranchers.

About These Unique Pigs
Meishans are some of the rarest pigs in North America . And they are one of the most genetically significant pigs in the world. Meishans were first imported into the U.S. in 1989 (after 10 years of negotiations with China). This was part of a joint study between the USDA, Iowa State and the University of Illinois.
